i don't know why i deleted my answer but it's 4/5...each kid gets 4/5 of a banana.
GIVE 4 OF THE KIDS A BANANA. AND LET THE 5TH KID HOLD THE BASKET WITH THE 5TH BANANA STILL INSIDE IT.
CUT THE FOUR BANANAS IN FOUR PIECES AND GIVE EACH KID FOUR PIECES EACH.
