ultimate challenge #23 - Aww, gee thanx, Mr. Mellowsherm! - ends 12/4/2008 @ 11:59pm EST
Marvin Mellowsherm was always doing nice things for his employees. This morning, he stopped at Dunkin' Donuts and bought three dozen donuts. Half were glazed and the other half were various flavors. Mr. Mellowsherm's employees were all thrilled by their boss's generosity. Dawn Evans took two glazed donuts. Ron Jenkins took three and came back a few hours later for two more. Maurice Valentine took a donut every hour for the eight hours he was at work. Shirley Hampton, office brown noser, had the smallest donut and took the biggest glazed and gave it to Mr. Mellowsherm. Since Maurice ate so many donuts, he went and got another dozen and a half donuts and brought them back to the office for the second shift workers to enjoy. The second shift workers ate all the donuts Maurice bought plus one more. How many dozens of donuts will be left tomorrow morning?
